Love Your Neighbor

 Transcript of Video below:

If you’re looking for more peace and purpose in your life, here’s a simple idea. It doesn’t require joining a religion, studying any doctrine, or observing any tradition.

It’s simple, but it’s also challenging.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

And who is our neighbor? Christ Jesus made it clear that everyone is our neighbor.

Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, shared a profound way to measure whether we are actually living what we pray:

“The test of all prayer lies in the answer to this question: Do we love our neighbor better because of this asking?”

In other words, when we pray for good in our lives, are we living consistently with those prayers? Are we unselfish and kind? Do we genuinely want good for everyone?

So how do we live consistently with our prayers? We can start with simple, practical steps such as being a more courteous driver, volunteering in our community, stepping outside our comfort zone, noticing our neighbors’ needs, and following up on the good ideas that come to us.

And if you’d like to read a book that expands on these ideas, you can request a free copy of Mary Baker Eddy’s life changing book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Just click the link below.
