Online exhibition: American Women in Religion

March 1 - March 31

“American Women in Religion” is an online interfaith exhibit celebrating notable and extraordinary American women in religion during National Women’s History Month.

This exhibit helps the public learn about, appreciate, and celebrate the lives, ideas, and accomplishments of exceptional American women in religion.  The panels give sketches and details of such women. Included, of course, is Mary Baker Eddy.  Though she was described in an important newspaper in 1907 as “the most famous, interesting and powerful woman in America, if not in the world, today,” many people today know little of her and her amazing life and accomplishments. Hopefully this exhibit will change that, even if only in a very teeny way.

You can access the exhibit throughout the month of March at www.americanwomeninreligion.com. We hope you will join us in honoring and celebrating these special American women in religion.

Sponsored by the Christian Science Informal Group in Germantown, Maryland.
